The Economic Policy Management (EPM) Programme Zambia became operational in 2008 following the signing of the Grant Agreement between the University of Zambia, the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and the World Bank Institute.

It is currently implementing phase 1 of the project covering the period 2008 to 2012. At the end of the current phase the project is expected to train 120 middle-level officers in Economic Policy Management from SADC countries and build capacity for the programme through networking with other EPM programmes in Africa and abroad.
