Since November 1998, The Economic Policy Management (EPM) Training Program in at the University of Cocody Abidjan is housed at CIRES (Ivorian Economic and Social Research Centre) and is co-sponsored by the Centre and the Training and Research in Economics and Management (UFR-SEG). It aims to strengthen human capacity of public and private administration of the West African subregion. In other words, this program aims to train economic managers, who can design, evaluate and implement economic policies that can meet needs in macroeconomic management often expressed by Governments and international institutions.
The program is unique in its kind, as a training tool for long continuous, full time, also offering scholarships to participants and fully oriented professionals.
This exciting and noble mission is supported financially by the Foundation for Capacity Building in Africa (English ACBF) based in Harare and the World Bank Institute (WBI in English), thanks to a donation from the Japanese government.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following conditions:
- Possession of a Master in Economics or Management or equivalent
- Be active at the time of application
- Have at least two years of professional experience in the public sector, parastatal or private, and desire a career in the definition and management of its economic policies country
- Be aged less than 45 years at the date of the competition.
Admission to the program is based on two stages , eligibility and the final selection.
